announce the
SPLICETM
a low cost,
field usable, quick approach to cable
assembly repairs in the toughest of
environments.
Utilising
LC connectors already proven in
multimode applications, there is no need
for power, heat or complicated
termination procedures. The Liquid
Crystal Polymer LC from Stratos needs no
heat cure epoxy or specialist cleaving,
a simple cleave and polish will achieve
a typical figure of 1.0dB. Cable
retention and tie off is achieved
through the aramid yarn and IP67
guaranteed.With a small diameter of 26mm
and a length of 135mm the splice
provides a permanent join with cable
retentionreturned to 95% its original
tensile load.
The
SPLICETM
is supplied as a KIT. Purchased with
all the tooling and consumables
necessary to carry out the operation.
The kit comes ready for use in a rugged
fieldusable carry case. Splice units,
spares and consumables are then replaced
and replenished at a low cost whenever
necessary.
